Meet Dr. Mike
Historian. Educator. Army chaplain. Author. And the voice behind Fun School Media.
Learning should feel like an adventure.
Dr. Michael W. Cunningham is a historian, educator, leadership scholar, and Army chaplain whose work explores the intersection of faith, leadership, history, and citizenship. He holds advanced degrees in leadership, education, theology, and history.
Fun School Media started with a simple idea: the stories that shaped America — colonial settlers, Ben Franklin's self-made rise, the dramatic elections of the last century — are some of the best stories ever told. Kids deserve to hear them in a way that's clear, accurate, and fun.
Today the channel reaches more than 17,000 subscribers with short, classroom-ready episodes released every Monday morning, and the books extend those lessons into picture books about character, resilience, and service.
